Singapore Angle now Powered by Movable Type
By Admin on 31 Dec 2006 2:30 AM

Singapore Angle has been leading a secret double life the past few weeks: powered by Blogger.com since its inception in June 2006, it has, from around December, been sporting a double in Movable Type Publishing Platform ver. 3.33. This post marks the turning point with the MT site going public.

All of the earlier entries will eventually become available in MT format; in the meantime, they can be accessed from the index of Singapore Angle: Blogger Archives or through del.icio.us. [Update: There may be some difficulty doing so for reasons that elude me; this means that I will have to speed up the conversion process. Update 2: Problem solved. Update 3 (6 January, 2007): All of the old entries have been converted.]

The conversion to MT will be done in such a way that all of the old URLs are preserved--not just the address of the main page (www.singaporeangle.com), but the addresses of individual posts as well. [Update: Forgot to mention that there will also be links to the earlier comment threads in Haloscan for these posts.]

There are other changes, which will be explained in due season. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy the new look.

Update (20 January, 2007): Successfully upgraded to Movable Type 3.34.
