1. Singapore Angle bids a regretful farewell to Speranza Nuova, who has tendered his resignation from the group blog over the weekend. This is what he says:

...My [work] commitments are likely to increase again, and I expect things to be very hectic for the foreseeable future. This will leave little time and energy for blogging--or for fulfilling the obligations of a Singapore Angle regular contributor.

I do not believe in retaining an appointment if I cannot fulfill its responsibilities to my own personal satisfaction. It is therefore with a heavy heart that I tender my resignation from Singapore Angle with immediate effect.

At this juncture, I would like to thank all of you for your quality, breadth and depth of discussion. It has been a stimulating time, all the more so as I have made new friends and acquaintances...

2. The site is in the midst of some layout tweaking. The aim is to go for a simpler, less cluttered look. This is something that I've wanted to do for a while but has not found the time (beyond very minor bits, such as the banner). Since Speranza's departure requires that the list of writers and such like be updated, which would result in rebuilding much of the site anyway, I'm taking this opportunity to do more. So don't be surprised if the look of the page changed when you refresh. Update: Adjustments completed.
